The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kumbh Mela to inaugurate the newly-constructed projects in the Sangam city. Modi will inaugurate projects worth over Rs 3,500 crores during his visit. They mostly relate to beautification of the city and projects in the Mela area.
Prayagraj is getting geared up for Kumbh Mela 2019 and Kumbh administration is erecting the temporary structures in the Mela.
The newly constructed structure will be likely to be inaugurated by PM Modi on December 16. A senior leader of Bhartiya Janata part will address a public meeting in the Mela area on the day.
Modi is also slated to review the Kumbh preparations personally during his visit.
The senior leaders meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will be held here on December 11 to finalise the preparations and other arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Prime Minister will also visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on December 29. During the visit, Modi will dedicate two sewage treatment plants, a water treatment plant in Sarnath and the Mahamana Cancer Institute in BHU along with other projects.
The Prime Minister is also slated to visit places where Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas will be held from January 21 next year to review the arrangements.
The Prime Minister visited Varanasi last on November 12 when he addressed a public meeting in Wazidpur after inaugurating several projects.
